Month of March

Yes! I’m always excited in the month of March. It is my favourite month of the year actually. Want to know why? It’s my birthday month yay!!....so I’ll be expecting some gift cards to my email please and thank you 😁

On a more serious note though I’m really excited about the month of March because as you all must know the 8th of March is a very special day for women all around the world. It’s the day that has been dedicated to honour women around the world. We deserve this day and I think one day isn’t even enough to begin to show appreciation to women for all that we are and all that we do and mean to this world. We are such an asset to humanity. What would the world be like without women?...who’s with me on this?

The month of March in general is all about women, honouring, appreciating and celebrating the women in our lives. Our friends, mothers, sisters, aunties, grandmothers, mentors, role models. This month we will be introducing a list of TWIS 31 most “UNSTOPPABLE” women. This list will be a yearly celebration to honour 31 women in the 31 days of March who we believe are unstoppable in their own right. This years #twi31unstoppablewomen2021 is exciting as it is our first list of incredible women who have impacted the lives of other women through their stories and their Unique and unapologetic identities. It took the TWI team months to finally decide on our 31 women for this year and i must say I am very happy with the list we have come up with this year.

This years theme for #iwd2021 is “choose to challenge” We can all choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality. We can all choose to seek out and celebrate women's achievements. Collectively, we can all help create an inclusive world. So I challenge you this month to celebrate women who have inspired you in one way or another and post them up on your social media, tag them and tag @thewomeninternational on Instagram for a chance to be featured. We would love to know more about these women and of course you will be putting a smile on a woman’s face. Remember uplifting another woman or complimenting another woman will never ever dim your light if anything it makes your light shine brighter and brighter.

My affirmations for you (say it with me)

I will encourage, support and empower other women

There is enough room for all women to be whole. I will not tear another woman down

I am strongest when I cheer other women on. Every woman’s success is an inspiration to me

I will root for other women and compliment other women when I see something I like about them.

I will not knock other women down in order to stand out. I will always congratulate other women and have their backs

I will only be around women who are needlessly devoted to helping me succeed in all aspects of my life
